SUNGEI SERANGOON [LOR HALUS]
U can try casting anywhere along it's slope but avoid the bushes on both ends when dusk, the mosquitos are commando-trained!
It's quite a wide river. There's always plenty of fishes splashing around.
On the right side, u can see the river mouth..
On the left side, the river is flowing inwards to the outskirt of Hougang. Constructions of the new Ponggul town is still going on across the river.
Now u can see better with zoom. The river mouth meets the sea on the right side where there are some people fishing on the lookout point[it's not easy to go there as u have to walk quite far from the HDB & road constructions]. The sandy beach on the extreme right is "Coney Island"
Releasing the fish back to where it belongs. Pls do the same if u have no intentions of eating it or if it's too small to eat it anyway..
There's alot of this "terapon" but mostly are of smaller sizes.
Jarbua Terapon Tenpounder
Both of this fish are found here. Of coz there are other species as someone caught a catfish.

Parking is easy, just along the side of the carpark. It's dark in the nite as the streetlamps are not switched on. Bring ur repellant as it is a mosquitos-infested area.
Going to this spot using public transport is difficult. Travel along Lor Halus or come in from Pasir Ris Dr. Look out for the un-named track[if it rains, it will turn muddy], turn in & go all the way[about 700m] to the end, where the charcoal warehse is. Turn right to the carpark, then left, u'll see the river.
