Orange spots on the body, with a large spot near the last few dorsal rays. Head with few stripes. Dusky blue-gray dorsally, sliver-gray below. Dorsal spines:13, rays:10; Anal spines:7, rays:9.
Spines stout, pungent & are venomous, so handle with care.
