Sona Sea Catfish Arius sona Ariidae [Sea Catfishes] 37.5 cm[max to 92 cm] 6.8 cm 550 gm Marine, brackish 50-60 m Commercial fisheries Yes, this fish was caught offshore Changi. Demersal Sea catfishes are extremely difficult to ID as most of them look identical. It is ID mainly thru the different shapes of 'upper tooth patches' in its mouth & partially from the different patterns on the 'top view of the head.'
