Yes, usually in brackish water. [This fish was caught off in-between Pasir Ris & Ubin]. Mangroves, estuarines, harbours, fish-farms etc. Feeds on worms, crustaceans, insects & plant matters. Easy to ID as no other fish species looks alike. Black, brown spots on yellow. Becoming pale as they ages. The dorsal & anal spines are venomous, so handle with care as it can inflict a nasty, itchy sting. |
