Yes, it had been introduced here. Native from Malaysia upwards to Indochina, Indonesia etc. This fish was caught by Gloomis, somewhere in Singapore.
Swamps, lakes, rivers. Stagnant water. Feeds on plants & animals. Can survive out of water for long periods.
Body drab, juveniles with vertical bars. Soft-rayed portion of anal fin greatly enlarged Caudal fin rounded.
