Coastal waters, estuaries on soft bottom. Feeds on bottom fishes & crustaceans.
Snout long & narrow. Large mouth with needle-like teeth. Pectoral fins relatively small. Dorsal fin inserted before grill opening. Olive-green dorsally, yellowish on the side ventrally.
