Mozambique Sea Catfish Arius polystaphylodon Ariidae [Sea Catfishes] 47.4 cm 9.5 cm 1.17 kg Marine, brackish, freshwater Commercial Fisheries Yes, this fish was caught offshore Changi during my 8th Offshore trip. Demersal Sea catfishes are extremely difficult to ID as most of them look identical. It is ID mainly thru the different shapes of 'upper tooth patches' in its mouth & partially from the different patterns on the 'top view of the head.'
